The best of the best! Provisional data release 2017

Provisional data released by the government this week further confirms Hornsey School for Girls continues on its drive to be outstanding.  The school has achieved +0.58 as its overall progress 8 score. This score provisionally places the school in the top 4% of schools in the country based on the 2016 measure (the 2017 measures will be released in 2018).

Both English and Maths teams continue to perform above national averages, with English in particularly ensuring that students achieved at least a grade higher than their KS2 results dictated. This places the English results firmly into categories reserved for only the top 5 performing schools in the country! Ms Rahelu, the Headteacher said ‘This is a fantastic achievement showing the power of committed staff, parent partnership and ambitious students,  working solidly for success from the start of their Hornsey journey’s in year 7. The school will celebrate this alongside our 130th Anniversary celebration year’

Hornsey School for Girls is accepting interest from students to join in Sept 2018. Open events information is on the website.
