A level Success at HSC
Hornsey Sixth Form College is proud to confirm once more outstanding student achievements in this summer’s A-level exams. Major changes to the A Levels did little to dampen the high spirits on display as student after student opened their results to happy and successful outcomes with 100% pass rates in eight different subject areas.
Our BTEC students are not forgotten with 75% of students achieving Distinction * in their courses.
Our sixth formers and staff have much to celebrate today with 22% of students achieving A-A* History, 25% A-A* Sociology and 30% of students in English Literature gaining A*-A. Amongst many successful department stories we celebrate 71% A*-C in Media, 80% A*-C in both English Lit and Geography, in History 89% achieved A*-C and a staggering 100% of students achieved A*-C grades in Sociology.
HSC students are supported by our dedicated staff within a high performing, relentlessly ambitious culture of achievement, personalised experiences and a rich variety of enrichment opportunities ensuring they develop life skills that will help them change the world in their chosen field.
In addition to undertaking rigorous academic programmes, students are encouraged to experience a wealth of hands on experiences to support their personal wellbeing to ensure they are best positioned to thrive during their next educational challenge or when joining the world of work.

With new challenges facing HSC, these results mark a watershed moment in the life of the college which will revise its offer to further innovate in the future.
Head of Sixth Form, Ms Alfred commented “The reformed A levels are exceptionally challenging and the results today are testament to the students’ hard work and dedication. We wish them all the best in their next endeavours”
Headteacher, Kuljit Rahelu, added: “It is difficult to sum up in words how proud I am of our students and exceptional staff team. These results are an indicator of how hard everyone works to ensure our students have a successful stepping stone to the future fields they aspire to join. We pride ourselves on developing young people who will change the World. This faith is repaid by these amazing results”
