Celebrating exceptional GCSE Results (again!)

Hornsey School for Girls, has announced another year of outstanding GCSE results for its students. The school continues its tradition of high achievement, with provisional results confirming student outcomes significantly exceeding national averages across most subject areas.

This year’s results highlight English, History, Sciences and Languages as the cornerstone of the school’s success, with students achieving well above national expectations. Particularly notable are the Combined science results, where the proportion of students securing grade 7 and above is double the national average for the subject. Citizenship also saw exceptional outcomes, with 37% of students attaining grades 7 and above, while Geography achieved an impressive 70% of students securing grades 5 and above. These results reflect the school’s ambitious academic standards, balanced carefully with a strong commitment to supporting student mental health and wellbeing.

Exceptional outcomes from students Kanishka, Elisa, Clara, Lottie, Melissa and Fadilla who between them achieved 46 grade 9 or 8’s.

Kuljit Rahelu, Headteacher, said, “Our students have been incredible from their first day on site in the midst of a global pandemic to today! 100% of our students have the required grades for their next steps – be this further study, apprenticeships, or work and we are all proud of their resilience, determination and focus in achieving this”
