We started the year as we mean to go on - expanding the horizons of our students with excellent class teaching supplemented with real world experiences. So it was that Ms Issacs and her merry band of year 8 students visited an Apiary on a farm. 

The trip was one of the last aspects of our project on school food matters which started last May. These extra-curricular visits show students in real life how the food cycle works and how we must be mindful of how we treat our planet. The vitality of the honey bees was a focus for all. 

Whilst at the farm, students undertook bee-keeping and met some of the lovely animals!
